Up to now the architectural project Garden Quarters was not subjected to the wide discussions. This is the project of unprecedented scale (total area – over 11 hectares) and architectural power. Seven leading architects including the main architect of Barcelona José A. Acebillo took part in the creation of the project. The district is planned as a city within the city: four residential quarters, each was individually planned according to the unique design.

Today the leading architects who created Garden Quarters will represent their architectural projects and will give the overview on the work achieved. How was each project within Garden Quarters created? Peculiarities of architectural solutions? Compromises and debatable issues? How to balance the esthetic beauty with comfort? How to integrate the innovative architecture into the existing building environment? How could such different architects create the integral uniform project?

All these and more questions will be answered by the most successful and interesting architects of Moscow: Sergey Skuratov, Maxim Kurennoy, Alexander Skokan, Vladimir Plotkin, Sergey Choban, Jury Grigoryan, Andrey Savin.

Angela Kuzmina, Head of the UNICOR Commercial Service, states: «It is important for us to inform the city about the status of Garden Quarters. We want to share the unique experience of the creation of such large elite projects of the city-planning scale, especially when we consider the architectural part of it. The team of the most talented architects, who help us to fulfill a dream, will be able to speak on that topic better than anyone else. The creation of Garden Quarters is the moment when the historical center positively embraces the innovative projects, that on the basis of the rich Russian culture, create the new phenomena and horizons. The project embodies the unity of the future and the past. On the one hand due to its location in the historical city center, the projects is directed to the past, on the other – the innovative forms, advanced technologies fit to the mainstream of the modern architecture, making Moscow a part of the modern factual architectural processes».
